Introduction

We have recently updated the database.

In this new release, the list of lipid-specific keywords was expanded, and in addition to GO and KEGG term description, the description field of the UniProt records and the EntrezGene names were also scanned (for human and mouse). Over 6500 mouse and human genes have been identified automatically this way. Furthermore, the list of mouse genes automatically collected was manually curated, to eliminate weak and non-significant matches.

There are currently about 1075 mouse curated lipid-related genes (1238 proteins) and almost 3000 human genes (not curated yet).
