Description

Lipid Mini-On enables the exploration the molecular structural properties enriched in lipidomics datasets. The tool uses a text-mining strategy to generate a wide variety of ontology terms from the LIPID MAPS common name. Using the Lipid Ontology terms generated, Lipid Mini-On performs enrichment analyses highlighting the common physicochemical characteristics existing in lipidomics datasets. It performs enrichment analysis using popular enrichment statistics (e.g., EASE, Fisher’s exact test, hypergeometric, binomial, and Kolmogorov-Smirnov’s test). Its graphical interface generates a variety of high-quality browsable and exportable figures from the Lipid Ontology enrichments.
