3-Pyridylcarbinol ('picolinyl') Esters of Fatty Acids

Archive of Mass Spectra

The following mass spectra of 3-pyridylcarbinol ester derivatives of fatty acids can be accessed directly from the links below. No comments or interpretation are provided here, as the general principles are discussed elsewhere on this web site. More spectra will be added from time to time as they become available. Please note that the widely used term 'picolinyl' ester is inaccurate and should now be avoided. The source of each fatty acid listed is that from which I obtained the spectrum in the course of my research efforts, not necessarily the optimum source. All spectra were obtained by GC-MS with Agilent mass spectrometers (various models over ~30 years) at an ionization energy of 70 eV.
